D’nae Robinett Mills was raised in Hobbs, New Mexico. Her parents were public servants who taught her early the importance of community and helping out anyone you can. She attended Texas Tech University where she graduated with honors and later she earned her law degree. As a lawyer, she works tirelessly to protect her client’s rights and legacies. She values the importance of family, the sanctity of human life, and protecting our Constitutional freedoms. D’nae is honored to run for the New Mexico House to represent her community and to serve her neighbors.

D’nae fights for our

individual rights.

She believes in the value of our Constitution and has spent her career protecting it. We are blessed to live in a country that guarantees our right to be free and secure. D’nae will always defend our right to bear arms and believes the Constitution isn’t optional even when politicians up north do. As a responsible gun owner, D’nae knows that we must be able to defend ourselves and our loved ones from criminals that don’t respect our laws. It is vital that we have a conservative voice in Santa Fe that honors the Constitution and defends our individual rights.

D’nae is for common sense economics.

She believes in supporting the industry that fuels our country and way of life. She knows the oil and gas community is our community, and any attack on oil is an attack on us. The oil and gas industry supports millions of jobs, from engineers to rig workers, contributing to economic stability. D’nae is for good paying jobs and encouraging businesses to create opportunities. Santa Fe needs to be supporting businesses and our economy not trying to destroy them. D’nae believes in being a fiscal conservative by fighting waste and abuse of hard earned tax dollars.

D'nae Robinett Mills is a local attorney and candidate for New Mexico House of Representatives District 62. She is a proud resident and native of Lea County. D'nae was fortunate to be raised in Hobbs and is a proud graduate of Hobbs High School. After high school, she went to Texas Tech University on a J.F. Maddox Foundation scholarship where she graduated with honors. After Texas Tech, she received a juris doctor degree with a focus in criminal law from Northeastern University in Boston.

D’nae has experience in legislation and policy from her time working under the Trump administration at the Department of Homeland Security and as a national security legislative staffer. She has experience at all stages of the legislative process. She worked alongside local and state officials on issues such as counterterrorism policy, combatting illegal immigration, and funding education and public safety projects. After working in policy, D’nae returned home to Hobbs and became a prosecutor where she met her husband Christopher Mills.

She is currently a successful business owner operating a law firm in Hobbs primarily focused on helping families protect their loved ones and legacy through estate planning and business transactions.

She loves this community and has made Hobbs her forever home with her husband Chris and their son Thomas. In her spare time, she enjoys reading crime novels, traveling with her family, and watching the Red Raiders.
